Sustainability Promotion

We are relocating our operations 100 km away from urban centers to a rural area to promote sustainability. The new project site is a 58193.80 square meter plot in Akendar Baid village situated in the Tangail district. This place is selected as a center of Bangladesh. Rotex’s commitment to sustainability is demonstrated by constructing the project under the USGBC’s LEED certification, targeting the highest standard. We have already registered our project with the USGBC and our registration number is 1000164489

The new site will create sustainable employment opportunities for the local community while ensuring the project operates in harmony with the environment. Additionally, it will serve as a hub for storing waste materials collected from the whole Bangladesh.

Rotex Future Sustainability Vision

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and becoming Carbon Net Zero by 2050. We have developed an initial plan in collaboration with industry experts and consultants that will guide us on this journey over the next 27 years. Our goal is to work together with our business partners and the industry as a whole.

Rotex Contribution in UN SDGs

Rotex is committed to achieving major UN SDG(Sustainable Development Goals) pillars by 2030, focusing on environmental and socio-economic targets. The company aims to become a circular business entity by 2040. To gradually implement the SDGs, Rotex plans to recruit and train local community members living in poverty, encourage small-scale farming, provide health benefits and education programs, and create equal job opportunities with zero-tolerance towards violence. The project also prioritizes sustainable management of resources, infrastructure, and manufacturing processes, as well as compliance with local laws and international standards. Rotex aims to participate in SDG-related sustainability initiatives to eradicate poverty and promote sustainable development in the community.
